When I was in high School I used to be part of the Literature Workshop. Once we read one poem wrote by someone who I cannot remember, but I do remember what was about: it took about all the things that the poet hates. After reading that, the teacher proposed us to do something similar, so I did. It wasn’t a proper poem; actually it was more like a list. I don’t Know if I still keep it, must be somewhere in my room of Temuco.

I think if I make a new list and I compare it with the one that I wrote years ago, I will find lots of differences. For instance, when I was a teenager I hated to wear skirts, but now I really like them.

However, there some things that haven’t changed from that time. For example, I really hate Flies and I will hate them forever! Is repulsive to think that they can lay over everything, like your own lunch! I can’t stand the noise of them flying. If I’m in bed ready to sleep and I hear one flying, I can’t sleep until it gets out of the room. I found that flies are the most disgusting living creature of this world. When I was a little girl I tried to find the reason of why they exist, I mean, the world will be nicer without them. Now I know that they play a important rol in the rotting process, but I still think that they shouldn’t be allowed to exist.

If I write a new list in ten, twenty or fifty years more, I am sure flies will be included.
